Black Devil return with their sinister, psychedelic disco sound which recalls both Joy Division and Giorgio Moroder.
Containing 6 electronic ‘dub’ versions of the album tracks by the Devil himself plus 6 by some of the Devil’s biggest fans who just happen to be some of the best exponents of the cosmic nu disco sound.
The album pushes the sonic envelope far out into deepest realms of cosmic disco exploration.
The CD version will include six mixes by the likes of Elitechnique, The mighty Prins Thomas, Quiet Village, Unit 4 and Black Mustang.
Just got this album and have already had it on repeat today for hours - after four listens I can safely say it's excellent. There's a lightness and bounce and a consistency across the whole thing that makes for a great album experience – at its bounciest this sounds like house music you might hear in a Muppets Movie, in a good way.
Side note: I'm a huge Kelley Polar fan, and I always knew he got his start in electronic music doing strings for Metro Area. It shows! Jascha Narveson
